Impact Categories

Farmers & Ranchers

Our programs are helping local family farmers and entrepreneurs who are committed to making their communities healthier. In 2024, we helped farmers purchase new tractors, distribution centers, storage spaces, trucks, and marketing materials, while ensuring all of our educational programs were free for farmers to attend. We also help farmers get access to public speaking, national regenerative events, and mass media.

Community Building

We are building an effective coalition of grassroots leaders who work together to expand one another’s capacities, create paradigm shifts within regions, and overcome shared challenges. Our programs connect farmers to their peers, food producers to health care professionals, investors to entrepreneurs, and resources to rural communities.

Economic Development

Economic Development

We work to improve the economies in all communities, rural and urban, by creating more circular economies in the food supply between regional-based farmers, ranchers, consumers, lenders, CPG companies, wholesale buyers and services. Our goal is to develop sustainable markets that extend beyond the traditional farmer’s market, and open new doors for established companies and entrepreneurs.

Health Care

Economic Development

We are building our first food-is-medicine pilot program in Illinois by building a system that connects organic and regenerative food producers to real-world human health outcomes, such as lower rates of chronic disease and reduced health care costs.

Education

Materials & Construction

Farmers tell us they need to know about how biology in the soil builds resilient systems and nutritious food. Distributors and buyers need to know about the challenges farmers face to grow our food. Medical professionals need to know that soil health matters in our fight to prevent chronic diseases. All of our programs are led by farmers, but connect roles serving the entire supply chain.

New in 2025: We will be launching new partnerships to open up regenerative markets in areas like pavement and construction materials. We will be on the ground in January with leaders in the industry to create a plan to accelerate common-sense based approaches to connect farmers, architects, builders, and the entire supply chain.

“I know when I can bring people to learn about Think Regeneration, they’re not looking to make a one-time donation. They’re realizing that this is the real deal and that they care about the relationship and the work that they’re doing.”

MARTY TRAVIS | DOWN AT THE FARMS LLC | ILLINOIS

Marty Travis leads a workshop for Think Regeneration near Phoenix, Arizona, in 2024.

“Think Regeneration has a wider lens that they see agriculture through that gives them a unique perspective to add value to our local and regional efforts."

TY MEYER | SPOKANE CONSERVATION DISTRICT | WASHINGTON

“Posing the right questions to help a group of people think from a different perspective is really important in this work. The kinds of humans, growers, and regions they’re supporting show their integrity. It really shows the integrity of their purpose and their desires."

MEREDITH GARRIGAN | ENLIGHTENED SOIL CORP | S. CAROLINA
