Think Regeneration is based in Illinois, which is why we are committed to helping build a better food supply in our backyard with a network of key partners and scores of farmers who are working together to create community-wide impact through local food. All of our work is made possible through donations and grants.
We have connected our network with more than $150,000 in infrastructure funding to date. This has helped them purchase trucks, refrigerated spaces, and more.
We are supporting our partners through the $29 million LFPP program. We will reach up to 200 families per week with groceries, and connect 100 farmers with new markets.
We are partnering with Down at the Farms LLC and health care professionals to create pilots that determine how local food can help prevent and treat chronic diseases.
Enough is enough. We don't have to stand for increasing rates of chronic diseases in our communities. All indications are pointing to this fact: a consistent focus on soil health and soil biology is making our food more nutritious, which then can be prescribed by doctors to help decrease the rate of chronic diseases in our communities. To get started, we have a goal to raise $500,000 to create multiple pilots, which includes food purchasing, health care and soil testing, research validation, nutrition and cooking courses, and farmer training.
Our next step: We are raising $7,500 to offset the costs of more than 100 farmers who are involved with Down at the Farms LLC to convene Jan. 18, 2025, to meet with experts in prescription food programs and work toward the launch of the first pilots in Central Illinois.

We are raising $7,500 to cover the costs for farmers and ranchers working with Down at the Farms LLC to attend an informative networking retreat in Peoria, Illinois, on Jan. 18, 2025. Your generosity will support the costs of event venues, food, guest speakers, and event administration. Topics include soil health, agronomy, crop planning, nutrition education, and program implementation.
We will allocate more than $1 million toward Illinois family farmers in 2024 through Illinois-EATS, a program funded by the USDA's Local Food Procurement Program (LFPP). To date, we serve 200 families per week healthy, fresh food from Illinois family farmers.
Our partners are creating economic impacts of $3 million to $5 million annually in rural Illinois, which supports family farmers, local food supply chains, and dozens of jobs.
We are building a coalition with growers and entrepreneurs to help launch Chicago Market, which will open in 2025, and connect underserved growers in the region with an exclusive market opportunity to fill a 15,000 sq ft co-op grocery store/nutrition center in the Uptown neighborhood.
